Which iOS apps do you use most?

A new survey from AppleInsider and MacRumors shows that Apple has the biggest app store of any major US tech company, but it’s still a crowded space for Apple to compete.
AppleInsider’s iOS App Market Tracker survey, conducted by the analytics firm earlier this month, shows that the company is the second largest app store in the world behind Google’s App Store.
The survey found that Apple had 9.4 million iOS apps on its own, up from 7.6 million apps on the App Store in 2015.
However, that’s still well below the market share of Google, which has 12.2 million apps, according to the same survey.
MacRumors’ iOS App Tracker survey found Apple has 5.3 million iOS app developers, down from 6.5 million in 2015 and 8.4 percent of the iOS app market.
Apple’s developer market share dropped from 5.9 percent in 2015 to 5.5 percent in 2016, but that’s mostly because of fewer developers signing up.
In comparison, Google’s developer app market share was 10.4 per cent in 2015, and it has now grown to 15.3 per cent.
The iPhone’s dominance of the App store is well known, and the company has made it clear that it’s going to be the dominant platform for iOS.
But the iPhone’s continued success as a platform for the mobile industry is a reminder that it has a lot more to offer than just Apple’s iOS apps.
The next few years could see Apple and the rest of the tech industry continue to grow the iOS App Store, which could give Apple a much stronger presence in the space and give developers a much more competitive edge.
In the meantime, you can still get some of the best apps on Android through third-party app stores, and that should help Apple grow its app business.
