Christmas tree store closes after store owner’s son dies

NEW ORLEANS — A holiday tree store in Vermont County is closing after a store owner died of a heart attack.

The Vermont Country Store is closing at 8 a.m.

Tuesday.

It was the third holiday store in the town to close in the past week, and it has since reopened.

The store was scheduled to open Wednesday.
