Google to add 50 more grocery stores to its Google Home app
Next Big Futures, the makers of the Google Home video-game voice-controlled speaker, will add 50 additional grocery stores in Google Home to help customers find items quickly, the company announced Tuesday.
The new grocery stores, which will be available through the Google app, will be found in places like grocery stores and grocery delivery, the developers said.
The grocery stores will be able to find specific items from grocery stores that aren’t found in Google Shopping, which includes many smaller stores like Kohls, Kohl’s and other grocery delivery services.
Google also is adding a grocery store to its Shopping app, Google said.
The grocery stores are expected to be available in stores in the United States and in Europe, and Google is working to add them in Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries, the Google developers said in a blog post.
Google said Google Home will also be able stream video from the Google Store to the Google App for devices that run Google Play Services.
The Google Store app will also get new features like the ability to view store catalogs, view prices and buy merchandise from the store.
