The WSJs report, which is based on data from the Grocery Manufacturers Association, finds that the majority of Korean grocery store sales are made online, and the average online sales are only $1.35 per customer per day.
The average online price of a Korean grocery in 2016 was $4.79.
Grocery stores in China, the largest market for Korean grocery sales, are among those with higher sales than in the USA.
The WSJs study says that the total market for grocery sales in China for 2017 was $3.3 trillion.
