Which stores sell the most organic?
It’s the most talked about topic in organic grocery store sales: which stores sell more organic food?
In an effort to better understand the market for organic food, MSNBC surveyed organic grocery chain Costco and Target, which both sell organic food.
Costco has been selling organic groceries for years and Target began offering it in 2010.
Costco, a grocery chain with more than 4,000 stores in 26 states, is the second largest organic grocery retailer in the U.S., after Trader Joe’s, with more stores in California, Arizona, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.
Costco and Trader Joe have recently opened up more stores to organic food sales.
According to Costco, the organic food market grew from $1.3 billion in 2011 to $1 billion in 2016.
Target, on the other hand, has not published any numbers, but its sales for organic foods grew from nearly $1 million in 2011, to more than $2.5 billion in the last fiscal year.
The grocery chain said it would have sales of organic products on average of more than 6,000 products per day in 2018.
According, a study by the Organic Consumers Association, a nonprofit that promotes organic and natural foods, found that organic sales are up 25 percent in the past decade.
While organic sales have been rising at a faster rate than in recent years, the association says organic sales account for only about 2 percent of total grocery sales.
Organic food companies like Whole Foods Market and Blue Apron are also growing, but they still represent less than 3 percent of grocery sales in the United States.
In 2017, organic grocery sales reached $7.2 billion, according to Nielsen, an industry research firm.
That’s a 25 percent increase from 2016.
The Organic Consumers’ Association points out that while organic food is a growing industry, it still accounts for only 1.5 percent of the overall grocery market.
The group notes that this is because there are so many other grocery chains that have been able to expand into organic groceries.
According the study, the biggest organic grocery stores have been Trader Joe and Costco.
Trader Joe, which is based in Minneapolis, has more than 3,000 outlets.
It’s a huge market, accounting for 10 percent of all grocery sales, Nielsen says.
It also sells products like frozen pizza, granola bars, and pasta.
Costco is a smaller chain with just 3,800 stores in the states of California, New Mexico, Texas, and Oregon.
According to Nielsen’s study, Costco is responsible for 2.2 percent of overall grocery sales and sells about $3.5 million worth of organic food a day.
In a statement, Costco said, “We are a large, regional, family owned and operated company and have been focused on providing products that consumers trust and want to buy.
In order to keep our stores small, we have not included organic products in our grocery stores, but we continue to promote organic options in our stores.”
