Why guitar stores are popping up everywhere
The Guitar World has been the most visited guitar store in the United States since March, and it’s been a big hit with customers.
The store, located in downtown Phoenix, has a small and dedicated audience that is hungry for something that can’t be found in a brick-and-mortar store.
Guitar World’s owner and owner-operator, Tom Laskowski, said the idea for the store came after his wife and daughter were born.
“We were watching a lot of the shows, the big music videos and we were like, ‘Wow, these are so cute,'” Laskowsky said.
“We wanted to do something like that, where you have a place that is so close to home where people could come and see it, but it’s not like the music store.
So, it was a natural fit.”
The store is now in its fourth season, with a third being sold out.
Laskowksi said the store has been on the road for about a year now, traveling across the country to meet fans.
He said the goal of the store was to do the same.
“I would say the best part of the whole experience was getting the people we were meeting and the people that were coming through,” Laskowski said.
In addition to the guitar store, Laskowitz said he also started a charity in honor of his wife, who died in 2014.
The organization has raised more than $5,000 for a variety of causes, including breast cancer awareness, and has also raised money for various local charities.
“That’s the most exciting thing, the support that people have been giving,” Laskingowski said.
For now, the store is open weekdays and weekends, but Laskawksi expects to expand into other areas in the future.
“At this point, I don’t know that we’re going to shut down,” Lassowski explained.
“I think the customers are coming back and we’re doing well.”
The company’s latest move is to expand its store in South Tucson.
Lassowksy said they’re looking to bring more people in to the store to help it grow.
The company also plans to open a second location in West Valley City.
Lascano said he’s optimistic that his company’s future will come in Tucson.
“As we grow, Tucson is going to be a destination for the company and we have the potential to be the first place,” Lascato said.
